Fishtown Concert Series: Concert #1 Tango Dueling Pianos

Tango Dueling Pianos takes a format which is well-established in jazz -- two virtuoso pianists using both improvisational mastery and showmanship to compete with each other on stage -- to the realm of Argentine tango for the first time. The show features two of the great tango pianists performing today, Pablo Estigarribia and Emiliano Messiez. Tango Dueling Pianos was the inaugural concert in the first season of the Fishtown Salon and the response was overwhelming. Last year, it was an imbalanced duel (a grand piano vs. an upright). This year, we are renting a second grand piano and the effect is sure to be even more explosive! Stay afterwards for Milonga Qilombo (a tango social dance) until 2 am. (Separate admission.) Pricing: $25/single concert $65/subscription to four-concert series It is recommended that you buy tickets in advance.
