Musicfest 2019: Benefiting Kinder Hspva's Music Departments

Don't miss MusicFest, a music festival benefiting the Kinder HSPVA Music Departments! Four stages will feature continuous performances by choral groups, big bands, jazz combos, pop singers, mariachi, chamber groups, orchestra, pianists, and more - all under one roof! The entertainment and energy is unrivaled by any other music event in Houston. View the full performance schedule. Tickets start at just $25! Want dinner? $40 will get you into all the concerts + a meal ticket (fabulous street tacos!). Avoid lines by purchasing IN ADVANCE. Or, beat the crowds with a VIP experience! For example, you can access full-service dining or roll up to your own coveted parking space! Plus, your gift will make a BIG impact for our music students. MusicFest depends on dozens of volunteers, and it's easy to arrange your shift so that it falls between your favorite music performances. Click here to sign up to volunteer at MusicFest! All event proceeds benefit the Kinder HSPVA Instrumental and Vocal Music Departments through HSPVA Friends, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Contributions are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. FAQs What are my parking options at the event? Parking will be available on the streets surrounding the school and subject to city rules and restrictions. The streets will be crowded, so arrive early or use a rideshare like Lyft or Uber. We also partner with a parking garage across the street (Houston Center Garage 1 at 811 Caroline Street), which offers our patrons an exclusive $5 parking voucher for the evening (normally $10-$25). Become a $1,000 underwriter, and we will reserve a parking spot for you on campus that night! What's for dinner? Gourmet Street Tacos! Guests will have the option of pastor pork, chicken tinga, and fried avocado, served with elote salad, lime wedges, onions, cilantro, red & green salsa, queso fresco, and corn tortillas. We will also have tortilla chips with poblano queso, guacamole, and salsa, all served with eco-friendly plates and utensils. Desserts can be purchased at the bake sale, which will have a variety of beautiful cupcakes, cookies, etc. available. Beverages will be available to all guests, free of charge. Why was I charged a service fee for my ticket? This service fee covers the standard credit card and box office fees associated with your purchase. Thank you for helping us keep the cost of this event low so that more funds go back to the Music Departments! If I am volunteering that night, do I need a ticket? Yes. You need at least a general admission ticket, and in order to eat dinner at the event, you must buy a ticket that includes food. Be sure to buy your ticket online ahead of time! If I am a past parent or alum, may I volunteer? Yes! We are happy to have your help. Check back here for a link to the sign-up page. Does my child who is performing need a ticket to eat? HSPVA Friends will provide pizza for all student performers. If a student performer prefers to eat the MusicFest catering option, he or she must have a general admission ticket with the dinner option included. Will a drive-thru option still be available to pick up my meal? No, due to the space restrictions of the downtown campus, we will no longer be offering this option. What happens if I miss my Presto Pass reservation in the VIP Café? Because the VIP Café is small, we are asking people to estimate the time they will arrive. We recommend reviewing the Performance Schedule before making your reservation. If you miss your reservation, we will make every effort to have you seated comfortably at your convenience. Is VIP seating at the performances guaranteed? No, VIP seating is available to Presto Pass patrons on a first-come-first-serve basis. My company has a matching program for charitable donations. Can I use this for MusicFest? Probably! It depends on your company's giving policy. Please contact your HR office for potential corporate matches. Are my tickets tax-deductible? What is the Fair Market Value of my ticket? Yes, a portion of most MusicFest ticket levels is tax-deductible. Each ticket for admission has an FMV of $15.00, and each ticket for both admission and food has an FMV of $30.00. Why make the change from Spaghetti Supper? We love the Spaghetti Supper tradition and hope this event captures what made it so special: all the HSPVA music students performing together for one night only, to raise money for their programs and to welcome the community to campus.
