The DVS Nexus EDH league will be held twice a week for 12 weeks on Tuesday and Fridays. After the 12 weeks 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will win prizes accordingly. 1st place - $50 value 2nd place - $25 value 3rd place - $10 value Entry fee is $5.00 and includes 1 participation booster pack. During each pod players will have the opportunity to collect Achievments which will award the players pre-determined points. At the end of the pod the player with the most points is considered that pod's winner. In the event of a tie, the player who has most instances of the highest point awards between them wins. (ie if Player A has three 2 point achievements and Player B has five 2 point achievements and neither have any 3 or 4 point achievements, Player B wins) -4 Points But We Just Started – Eliminating a player prior to their 5th turn. C-C-C-Combo – Displaying an infinite combo of less than 4 cards that would cause you to eliminate one or more players, regardless of board state. -2 Points Chasm – Be the instigator of wrecking one or more players mana bases. This includes spells like Choke, Armageddon, Bust, etc. (This penalty is in the spirit of the rule, and not the letter of the rule, effects that would reset the board for all or most of the players at the table will be awarded this penalty. This can be awarded to the same player more than once per pod. Use of an Annihilator trigger to wreck your own mana base DOES NOT give the controller of Annihilator this award.) -1 Point Greedy McGreederson – Take 3 or more Turns in a row. This can be awarded more than once. (-1 for every turn after the 3rd turn.) Only there for its Color – Finish the game without playing your General. If a player did not have the ability to cast their general during the game, they do not receive this award. +1 Point Easy as 123 – Play the third spell that’s converted mana cost is the third number in a row. Player A plays Mogg Fanatic (CMC 1) then Vexing Shusher (CMC 2) then Player B resolves Volcanic Fallout (CMC 3) Player B would be awarded this. If Player C then casts Chameleon Colossus Player C would get an extra point for follow this pattern and each successive spell resolving in an increasing fashion would awarded 1 point. [This award can be achieves over multiple player turns.] Blackjack – Control two creatures whose total power is exactly 21. Blasting Cap - Cast a spell or use an activated ability that causes 3 or more triggered abilities to enter the stack at the same time. Keep Diggin - First player to have fewer than ten cards in his or her library. Collusion FTW – Give another player an extra turn. Copycat – First player to copy a spell or permanent of an opponent. Danger Zone – Eliminate an opponent while your life is less than 5. (Can be achieved multiple times) Die Already – Survive after being attacked for lethal damage 3 different times. First Blood – First player to cause an opponent's life total to decrease. Fourth Times the Charm – Resolve your General 4 times in a single game from the Command Zone. Full Grip – Draw 10 or more cards in one turn. Generalissimo – Eliminate a player with General damage. Can be awarded more than once. Good Samaritan – Intentionally cause an opponent to gain 10+ life in one shot (getting your Beacon of Immortality redirected doesn’t count for you, but for the person who redirected it). Hot Potato - Redirect any portion of non combat damage or a spell directed at you to another opponent. I Got This – Eliminate an opponent during another opponents turn. I Suck – Be eliminated from the game or have it end when you have 0 points. This checks after “It was a valiant effort” and “I’m Out”. I Think You Dropped This – Gain control of a permanent an opponent controls without exchanging permanents. I’m Out – Be the first player eliminated from the table. I’m Probably Next – Have the lowest life total, which must be lower than 10, when the first player is killed. Iron Man – Equip a creature with 4 or more equipments. It was a Valiant Attempt – If the game finishes with the same number of players that it started with, each player is awarded 1 point. Just Enough – Deal exactly lethal non-General damage to a player who is at 7 or more life. Leading the Charge - Destroy another player's general with your own. Let’s Do That Again – Save an opponent from taking lethal damage. (This can be through prevention or redirection of damage, whether it be direct or from creatures, or through the use of life gaining spells or abilities. This award can only be earned once per opponent saved, multiple saves of the same opponent by the same person do not count.) Look Ma, No Hand - Be the first player to have no cards in hand. Lucky 13 – Have a single creature deal exactly 13 points of combat damage to a player in one hit. Museum – Control 8 or more non-land, non-creature artifacts. Not Quite Enough… – Put an opponent at 1 life. Send it back – Eliminate a player with a spell or permanent they own. Straight – Control at least one creature of five consecutive powers (for example, Mogg Fanatic, Jackal Pup, Mogg Flunkies, Ravenous Baloth, Shivan Dragon). This will be awarded only when the stack is empty. This may only be awarded to an individual player once per pod, although it may be awarded to multiple players. Suicide Bomber – Eliminate all remaining players at the same time (yes this includes you). There can be Only One – Be the last player remaining in a pod. They are GIANT! – Control at least one creature with 10 or more +1/+1 counters on them. Tribal Dance – Control 7 or more non-token creatures of the same creature type. Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny - Each starting player has their general in play at the same time. This point is awarded once the stack is clear. This is awarded to all players at the same time. Resource Management - Control 4 or more non-land permanents that can generate mana +2 Points Here We Come Again! – Have 2 or more extra combat steps in a single turn. I Brought Friends – Control 4 or more Planeswalkers at the same time. What Goes Around – Take control of a permanent that an opponent took control of from another opponent. Salsa Dancer – Cast the fifth spell on a single stack. Copies of spells do not count. Three’s Not a Crowd – Resolve three different non-land permanents of three different types on the same turn. This may only be awarded to an individual player once per pod, although it may be awarded to multiple players. (Non-land permanent types are Artifact, Creature, Enchantment, and Planeswalker. Resolving a spell that is any combination of permanent types will count as one or the other, not both. Example – Enigma Sphinx is an Artifact Creature; you must choose whether it will count for your Artifact or your Creature for this award.) You’re Outta Here – Kill a player or being directly responsible for a player’s elimination. There is the obvious – controlling the source of the damage (whether it’s direct or creatures). This also includes, although is not limited to alternate methods, such as controlling the Howling Mine that makes the player deck himself, or redirecting lethal damage to someone. (Player A plays Fireball, Player B Swerves the Fireball to Player C.) This can be awarded more than once to the same player. The Colors Duke, the Colors - Control a permanent of each color. A permanent of more than one color represents only one of the available colors. This point is awarded when the stack is empty. Wafer Thin - Kill a player with one point of damage or one point of life loss. +3 Points Mr Blue Sky – Cast your general when total cost is 20 or more. +4 Points Didn't See that Coming – Win the game with 2 or more opponents still in the game. End of Game Points +2 Points - By Each Their Own - If every player eliminated from the game is eliminated by a different State Based Action, each player on the table receives this accomplishment. The ways to lose are: Drawing from an empty library, General Damage, Life at 0 or less, 10 poison counters. +1 Point - The Bigger They Are, the Harder They Fall - The person with the highest life total when he/ she died (for combat death, look at the life total before combat damage was applied) wins a point. +1 Point - He Who Dies With the Most Toys, Loses - The person who had the least artifacts in play when he/she died wins a point. (Conditions that cause other players to win, ie Feladar Soverign, Helix Pinnacle, surrendering, etc do not count for this) +1 Point – Minions' Day Off - The person who had the least creatures in play when he/she died (You have to have been eliminated wins a point. (Conditions that cause other players to win, ie Feladar Soverign, Helix Pinnacle, surrendering, etc do not count for this) +1 Point - Huge Tracts of Land - The person who had the least lands in play when he/she died wins a point. (Conditions that cause other players to win, ie Feladar Soverign, Helix Pinnacle, surrendering, etc do not count for this) More Info below.
