Vox Local Arts Mixer V (V+Lam 5)

Vox Culture’s milestone fifth annual Vox Local Arts Mixer (V+LAM) is just around the corner. The event will take place at The Phoenix on Westheimer from 6:15PM-9:15PM on Friday, August 23rd. This fun and diverse arts mixer will feature barbecue, a seafood boil, and French pastries created by local chefs, while celebrating both established and new and fast-rising names in the Houston arts scene. The mixer allows Houstonians to engage with painters, photographers, poets, dancers, jewelry makers, and more. Artists are selected for V+LAM through their contributions towards Vox Culture's advocacy projects. Guests will have the opportunity to view live performances and live art, and purchase any work exhibited by featured artists, with 100% of those proceeds remaining with the artist. In addition to bar bites and drinks from The Phoenix, other food vendors featured at the Vox Local Arts Mixer will be Khói Barbeque, Julie's French Pastries, and Friends of The Phoenix Seafood Boil Team. Register via Eventbrite - RSVP IS REQUIRED. Proceeds from tickets will support the "Bike Around The Bay" ride, in which the Friends of The Phoenix group are participating, to benefit the Galveston Bay Foundation (GBF). While Free Entry tickets are available, a $5 donation per person ticket is also available and proceeds will be donated to the Galveston Bay Foundation. The $5 ticket option guarantees V+LAM guests eligibility to enter a gift prize give away competition that is to take place at the event.
