Want to share your love of burlesque with your better half or your bestie?! Come join mother-daughter burlesque duo Erin the Axe and Hannah the Hatchet as they show you their quick and fun tricks and moves for burlesque duets! Learn to jump, bump, lift and swing together! Whether pal-ing around or doubly-seducing your audience-- lend a hand to your other half as you undress and tease together because TWO is always better! About your instructors: Erin the Axe hails from Ithaca, NY and is principal dancer and choreographer for Whiskey Tango Sideshow, Central NY's premiere burlesque troupe! Erin has been dancing since childhood, taking all sort of lessons, but tap dancing was always her true love. She often fantasized about becoming a Radio City Hall Rockette when she was a big girl, but she quickly outgrew the maximum height requirement! Luckily this amazonian sized glamazon has had the opportunity to perform multiple times in the big apple from Hotel Chantelle to the esteemed New York Burlesque Festival in both 2017 and 2018. And if you were lucky enough you may have caught her performing at the fabulous Michigan Burlesque Festival here in Detroit in 2018! Hannah the Hatchet has been dancing since she could walk, performing since she could talk, doing burlesque since she was legal--this gal will be sure to make your heart skip a beat! Hannah the Hatchet relocated to Detroit in 2018 from Ithaca, NY where she was a core member of the Whiskey Tango Sideshow and performed in duet with her mother Erin the Axe. Here in the big D Miss Hatchet has the pleasure of teaching regularly at the DSOB and performing weekly at the historic jazz lounge Willis Show Bar. The Axe and the Hatchet have been dancing together more years than they can count and doing burlesque as a duo for over 2 years. They have graced stages across the county with their groovy moves and witty statement acts, recently having made their international duo-debut at the Capital Burlesque Expo in Ottawa, Canada!
