The Rhode Island International Film Festival in Providence is an intimate festival screening short and feature-length films from around the globe. Because of Providences proximity to Canada, the festival is a top film festival destination for many French-Canadian filmmakers. Over a six-day period, hundreds of independent films screen for audiences, with filmmakers available for discussion and commentary at a number of social engagements in conjunction with the festival, like the Opening Night Celebration and Soiree.
