Learn to Connect With a Partner Through Dance Feel the bliss of quickly dropping into physical connection through the media of dance. Students can spend years learning technique before ever arriving at deep connection with a partner. In this unique workshop, you will learn how to start with connection from the beginning. Feel the joy and freedom of rhythmically moving in synchronicity with each other to music. This workshop will cover timing, balance, building connection, cultivating sensitivity, following and leading technique as well as awareness of yourself and your partner. She later graduated with a degree in Physiology and Neuroscience from UC San Diego and pursued a career as a Biochemist for Siemens. She focused her studies and career at first on the sciences, but dancing was always an integral part of her life and most of her free time was regularly dedicated to taking dance classes. After being fascinated by the bliss that was experienced connecting with a partner through dance, she learned Salsa, Mambo, Bachata, Brazilian Zouk, Cha Cha Cha, West Coast Swing, Argentine Tango and more. She rigorously trained connection and Brazilian Zouk for 3 years in the Renata Peçanha Dance Program under Crisiti Boone and Clinton Lacerda. She has traveled the world teaching and performing at dance festivals for over 20 years with groups like the Edwin Rivera Project, Los Anormales, Bonito y Sabroso, Renata Peçanha Dance Company, and Mambo Inc. She currently teaches private dance lessons near Santa Monic in Salsa, Mambo, Bachata, Brazilian Zouk and connection.
