Argentinian guitarist Gabriel Hermida may be best known as one half of the popular jazz duo Yael & Gabriel, but he’s also a popular band leader and composer, who blends his country’s classical tango with flamenco and contemporary jazz. On his latest visit to New York’s Club Bonafide, he and his new ensemble will pay tribute to another innovator, gypsy flamenco guitar legend Paco de Lucia. Famed for being the first to mix jazz with traditional Andalusian music, de Lucía impressed fans and critics alike over his more than 40-year career with his technical brilliance and his development of the sound that became New Flamenco. He passed in 2014, posthumously winning one of his many Latin Grammy Awards for his album Canción Andaluza. More Info below.
